London Fashion Week: Zoe Jordan S/S 2014

During London Fashion week I was lucky enough to attend the Zoe Jordan S/S 2014 Fashion Show. I had such a great time. The energy that morning was absolutely buzzing. With everyone waiting in their seat, snapping furiously, trying to capture the best street styles and making sure they were all ready for the runway.
I really enjoyed the collection, especially the long white jacket with the black leather collar. It's definitely my favourite piece. The overall feel of the show was very urban. With graffiti print tanks and ombre tie-die dresses, I loved the dynamics of the pastels and bright pops of red.
My outfit: coat/vintage, jumper/F21, skirt/vintage, briefcase/vintage, lipstick/Mac - Ruby Woo.

A big thank you to my friend, Larissa.

Thanks for stopping by.

CP

Canada Day: Part 2 - Better Late Than Never

Ok, yes I know Canada Day was like a year ago, but I found some really fun pictures that I completely forgot I took.

Better late than never, right?

Lavender Simple Syrup

I don't know about you guys, but I am absolutely wild about lavender. I think it all comes from my mother, seeing as it's one of her favourite scents. I love lavender in most things; shortbread, macaroons, soda pops. So when A Beautiful Mess posted their Lavender Iced Coffee recipe, I was hooked. I literally hunted down some lavender and made it the next day.

Seeing as I don't drink coffee, and haven't for over two years now, I was quick to make my adaptation! I traded in coffee for Earl Grey Tea, to do my take on a London Fog. I call it, the Lavender London Fog. Inventive name, I know (hehehe). If you haven't made simple syrup before, do not fear. It's called simple syrup for a reason. It's easy as pie! It's just sugar and water on the stove for about 10 minutes or so, just add your flavour of choice. That being said do check out Elsie's recipe here, as she puts it much more eloquently than I!

Enjoy!!!

Birthday with a B: Brighton Bound

For the second part of my Birthday fun, Remi and I headed South to Brighton for two days. We even stayed in a hotel. Fancy. Our room was the Parrot suit, which I loved. The view was lovely, we could even spot the pier from our room.
We spent most of our day wondering around the "twittens" and eating and drinking lots of glorious foods. We even managed to catch the Food and Drinks festival, where we had lunch. Afterwards we headed down to the waterfront with Birthday cupcakes in hand and watched this beautiful, dark storm rolling in. There was lightning and thunder, talk about a Birthday celebration!
After escaping the storm and eating our cupcakes, we had a little rest and then headed out for an evening stroll along the pier. After that we grabbed birthday dinner at the most delisious little vegetarian restaurant called Terre a Terre. I would highly recommend getting the churrosimo for dessert, you will not be sorry.
The next day we checked out of our hotel room and went in search for Breakfast. I am so, so happy we ended up at the BlackBird Traditional Tearooms, it was such a lovely experience. The rest of the day consisted of a little bit of shopping, more wondering and eating, along with another walk along the pier and beach.
To sum everything up this was one of the most amazing Birthdays yet. I feel oh, so spoiled. If you every make it down to Brighton I recommend going to Terre a Terre, Blackbird Traditional Teas and Brighton Bier for their delicious Oatmeal Stout

Do you have any favourite spots to go in Brighton?

Thanks for tuning in!
