Hi Pals,
Happy, happy 2014! I just want to do a quick post about something that I would STRONGLY recommend doing this year.
So last year I decided to create an Awesome Book. A place where I could write down the smallest details of my day that made me smile, or were maybe just really interesting. It didn't matter if I missed a day or two (or weeks at a time because I was in rehearsal land), or if was playing catch up, as long as I filled in just a little something about a positive thing that happened in my day.
My goal was to focus on the joy. To really reflect each day. It could be a yummy meal, tea with a friend or just something nice that happened at work. It doesn't have to be out of this world crazy each day, it's just the little things. And if some thing crazy awesome does happen...USE CAPS!!!
So here's what you need to do!
1. Buy a day-timer/agenda/diary. Last year I bought mine at pound saver for just £1 and decorated the front. It doesn't have to be expensive!
2. Everyday write down a positive thing (or 2 or 3 or 4) from your day. Try to do it everyday for the reflection value, but playing catch up is good to.
3. If you're ever feeling down or just want a good smile, take a flip through your Awesome Book and see the difference it makes.
I really, really hope you guys will give this a try. I can't tell you how much fun I had the other day going through my 2013 awesome book. It put the biggest smile on my face.
Let me know how it goes!
Love,
CP

Hi Everyone,
And a belated Merry Christmas to you! Here are some shots from around London and my flat from my second Christmas away from home. This year was a lot easier for me. I had a better idea of what to expect and I also had my man with me, so that of course helped bucket loads! It was so great to have a house to call my own this Christmas. I had a lot of fun decorating on a next to nothing budget! Here's a little video of some of my handmade decorations!
I hope everyone had a lovely couple of days! Let's enjoy the last bit of 2013 and here's to the New Year!
Love,

Autumn Leaves
[ Yumchaa Tea Room ]
[ Johnny Flynn concert. Dream come true ]
[ Canadian Thanksgiving in London ]
It's November, can you believe it? I sure can't. It already looks like Christmas in Covent Garden, time is moving quickly folks. I'm just gonna start by saying this Autumn was amazing! From the Speakeasy, Johnny Flynn concert, carving pumpkins with Remi, to the loveliest Thanksgiving that I've had since moving away from home (eight years ago)! Fun events aside, I've also been feeling incredibly inspired lately. I've gotten back into dance classes and have fallen in love with tap dancing all over again. My legs are aching from a three hour masterclass I did with Michelle Dorrance this Monday. Things are good. I finally feel like I'm catching up with myself and problems are finally sorting themselves out.
I hope everyone has had a lovely Autumn! What are you most looking forward to this Winter?
Love,

So that's it folks, it's officially October. Can you believe that...? Because I can not. Time is flying by so quickly. Remi has already been here for over a month and I've been working at the Royal Opera House for three weeks. What! Also, I finally bought new boots. I posted about needing new boots over a year ago (when I was still in Edinburgh), and it's taken me that long to finally buy a new pair. I copied my little sister and purchased a pair of Steve Madden, Troopa. I am in love.
What are you looking forward this Autumn?
Love,
CP
