One fall afternoon...

My new headband I just made today and the pretty violet gladiolus!

I' m pretending it's still summer.

Inspiration: Heart of Light

Hey Gang,

I hope everyone is enjoying their final weeks of Summer, or if you're in Edmonton, the first few weeks of Fall!
So lately I have been going blog crazy! The newest blog I am following is

which is full of amazing DIYs, recipes and great lifestyle tips!
I am also in the middle of trying to redecorate my room. From spunky red, black, and white (my college phase) to a more romantic dusty rose theme! I am pulling inspiration from both The Cherry Blossom Girl and now Heart of Light to create this new look for my room! Rachel from Heart of Light has really inspired me to get back to my artsie/creative self. May it be theatre, a quick sketch here and there, or a new hat - I love making things.

Projects of the week
curtains for my new bed frame or possibly a window
a crocheted hat with big bow
button wine charms
a paper leaf garland
a lot of popcorn

Here are some of my favourite shots from Heart of Light!

What have you been making lately?

Grab your tickets...

while you can!

Today is the unofficial start of the Edmonton Fringe Festival. With tickets now on sale and the Media launch over - it has begun!

I woke up bright and early this morning and made my way over to the TransAlta Arts Barn. By the time I had arrived everyone was just doing their finishing touches to their booths for this years media launch. The excitement in the rooms was delicious!

Brighter Than Fuchsia

One of my best friends, Ryan and I have a little cover band called
  Brighter Than Fuchsia
We only see each other a few days a year, but when we do -  it's some serious jam time! Here's our tune from our brief time we had together this June. Ryan had just arrived home from Ireland (where he is becoming a doctor!) and I was home visiting from Edmonton!

Last year one of my favourite artists Johnny Flynn performed at Ryan's University (which I am still extremely jealous about! We decided to learn one of his songs! So here we are struggling to read the lyrics and cords off of my laptop, while having a ridiculous amount of fun!

 I hope you enjoy it!

(That's Ryan and I when we were tiny)

Let me know what you think!
