song of the day

Simply Charming! I've listened to this song at least 20 times today! I am really tempted to get myself a ukulele. I just love Zooey...swoon!

What are you doing on New Year's Eve?

Cooking With Chelsea: Roasted Vegetables

I found myself in the kitchen a lot this Christmas, thanks to Mr. Jamie Oliver! While on my extremely short plane ride home, I managed to catch 3 episodes of Jamie's Christmas special! Over the two days I managed to try out 3 of his amazing recipes. The thing is - they are so simply. That's the key!

Christmas Eve - Amazing Roast Veg

Jamie did about 5 different veggies on the show and seeing as I had only watched them earlier that day, I was going from memory -  I stuck with just the carrots.

Shoes - Black leather t-strap wedges - Urban outfitters

Nicola (left) and I (right) playing dress up.

Ever since Nicola and I were small girls we have loved to play dress up. Thanks to our amazing mother we had an entire closet full of exciting costumes, vintage clothing (that are now part of our real closets), props, bangles - you name it! Now that we've lived a province apart for 4 years, every time we get together seems like a great excuse to get dressed up! I love having Nicola as a model, this girl is stunning! I hope you enjoy these photo, more to come.

ps. I'm selling this beautiful dress on my Etsy shop! It will be up in the early new year - I'll keep you posted!

Enjoy!

I miss her already! Check out her blog HERE!

DIY: Holiday Wrapping Paper

Throughout the year I love having flowers in my apartment. The local grocery store I go to wraps the flowers in simple brown paper sheets with little ivy patterns. Most people probably just recycle these lovely brown paper sheets, but I've held on to my recycled goods for this very reason ... WRAPPING PAPER.

A lovely December Day.

Today was lovely indeed. The weather wasn't ridiculous, a mild minus six degrees with warm sunlight.

Mitten garland.

This morning Charmaine and I went for brunch, did some vintage window shopping. I even bought some treats for my Secret Santa!

My extremely messy braid and cashmere sweater.

I watched The Survival of Pigeons as Studied by Human Lovers and ran into the beautiful Rachel. Afterwards I did some Christmas shopping. Now to eat some dinner, get ready for the show tonight and possibly do some crafting!

Potato stamp.

Happy Saturday!
