Sophia, Charmaine and I at The Common. |
Last night Charmaine and I watched Waiting for Godot, which we both agreed was very well done. I have never seen a live performance of it, only studied it a wee bit in school, so it was lovely seeing it come to life. Some shows are definitely meant to be seen, not just read and studied. Shakespeare falls into that category for sure.
After the show we hopped ourselves a taxi and head over to The Common, a small, but busy bar/club downtown where we met us with some of Charmaine's friends. I don't go to clubs very often. The music is always too loud, the floors too sticky, the skirts too short, but Charmaine and her friends were great and nothing can beat dancing to 90's hip-hop tunes for hours on end. I am always astonished and amazed by the behaviour of boys/men at bars. It's like all class falls out from under them. There are a few gems -guys that will actually strike up an interesting conversation with you or the quiet and mysterious hipsters that will gently work their way into your dance circle. These things are allowed. Overall it was a very fun evening and a great week.
What is everyone up to this weekend? Thanks for reading!
Love,
