quote of the day.

This was the quote used at the end of my Bikram yoga class today! 7 days of yoga in a row, baby!

_____________

"People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway."

friend inspiration part 2: bloggin buddies

I met a beautiful girl named Kayla in February.
We became friends very quickly after discovering that we both are musical theatre girls, or should I say ladies.
We also share a strong love for yoga and good food.

This is Kayla's blog:
I absolutely love reading about Kayla's 30 day challenge, new recipes and oh so inspiring quotes!

I look forward to working with you, you beautiful girl!

Song and Dance Clip 5: Oh Danny Boy

Enjoy!

The Renaissance of Ballet

Ballet was born during the time of the Renaissance, and now it is being reborn once again!

Thanks to TV shows like: So You Think You Can DanceAmerica's Best Dance Crew and Dancing With The Stars, dance has really made it's way back into our culture.

It still has a long way to go compared to our friends in Europe, but at least it's there for everyday people to watch!

Ballet has recently been reborn, thanks to the highly talked about film...yes, I know you know what I am talking about - Black Swan.

This 'R' rated movie has shown the world how sexy ballet can be.

on the MOVE: injury prevention and recovery

This is a sensitive topic for most athletes and artists!

For this topic Dr. Sian Williams, chiropractor and former actor, talked to the group. She discussed lifestyle choices, training disciplines, form, footwear and common injuries!

Sian encouraged us to think for ourselves! Using the knowledge and experience that we already had as a collective!

Here are the questions she asked:

I'd rather be ... mixing!

Hello everyone, and happy May 1st!
(1 more day until  Canada's 2011 Federal Election, are you ready?)

For my most recent poll, I thought it would be interesting to see what you guys, the readers, like doing best.

Singing/ Dancing/ Acting
or
all three

Half of the people that voted said that they would rather be doing all three.

This warmed my wee heart!

Being a triple threat is fantastic as professional performing artist! It opens up so many possibilities. You aren't just suck in one form! You may not always being doing all three, but hopefully you are always working on something!
