First Weeks Back

So my first few weeks back in London town were very interesting to say the least. Leaving behind my parents is always a hard thing for me to do. I am very, VERY close with both my Mum and Dad. I am a very lucky girl! They are so supportive and loving, and they've had to put up with me running away from home since I was sixteen. My leaving was nothing new, but it only seems to get harder as time goes on. Also, my Mum just had a total knee replacement, so I was very thankful to be at home and support her through that.

That first picture there is a shot of my desk. I love all of the things in this picture so much. The card was waiting for me on the fireplace mantel in my bedroom, given to me from my darling flatmate, Ruthie. Those two ladies are definitely us this summer. The vase is a recycled bottle of my favourite lemonade, made with rose water. The rose I found in perfect condition just lying on the sidewalk. I nearly tripped over it on my way home from town. I scooped it up from the ground, the gentleman behind me even said "Good fine, there!"
I finally tried a real 99 ice cream, with Big Ben as my backdrop. A 99 is quite simply soft serve ice cream with a flake, a UK tradition. I've been wanting to try one of these since last year when I first arrived. I have NO idea why is took me so long to try one (I've had 2 more since then, hehe).

Catching up with my amazingly talented pals, Adam and Nic. I love these people. We were pretending that we were back at the Edinburgh Fringe, were we spent our past August together.

Me with the big purple cow. Those of you Fringe'rs might recognize this venue as the Udderbelly. Everyone else...I am not joking. It's seriously called that.

A quick snap of Piccadilly Circus in between handing out CVs.

Lot's more coming your way soon - Thanks for tuning in!

People and Places: Part 2

Blackheath Station

South Bank

Yup, that's London.

My dressing room spot.

Closing night party.

Cheers.

A letter.

Here are some pictures from before I had left to Canada. Better late than never, right?

So in my last few months in London there where a few big changes. The first big change was moving to Blackheath and renting my first flat. It was very exciting, but also extremely scary all at the same time. I am so happy I have a room I can call my own.

The second exciting thing was being cast in an Off-West End production called One Touch Of Venus. I learnt so many important lessons during this experience. About myself, about other people, about the business. It was such a lovely group of people, I am very thankful for my experience and new pals.

Thanks for tuning in!

Come back, Georgia.

Hey Everybody!
Happy first day of June. So I'm not sure if most of you know, but I have a pretty big lady crush on Melinda Sullivan. She's a young tap dancer originally from LA and has been training with the best since the age of 14. Some of you might recognize her for SYTYCD season 7.

The video I've posted above is for her new class called, Untapped - No Tap Shoes Allowed. It's aimed at beginners, but I can't get over the cool, sleek, and relaxed style of this combo. I definitely learnt it in my kitchen yesterday. It just shows that simplicity, timing and space can be everything.

I hope you enjoy it!

Love,
CP

PS. Isn't that song amazing. So hot.

My New Flat: Part 1

Champagne I won from the Christmas draw at work, along with vintage clutches that were gifted to me by a family friend.

My art work.

So I finally stopped jumping flats and started renting a beautiful home in Blackheath with two of my friends at the end of January. We really lucked out with this place, thanks to dear Ruthie's constant flat hunting. It's so specious, with the best kitchen and has a beautiful backyard. The only negative side is that it does take a wee while to get into town, but hey, when you're in the thick of things, sometimes it's nice to feel like you live in the country!

So here is the start of my bedroom. I have slowly started to collect some precious odds and ends on my London journey. I was very hesitant for most of my trip to start collecting because of all the travelling I was doing. Now that I have a place to call my own, I will start to treasure hunt for very small treasure that fit into suitcases!

One great feature in our flat is that every room has it's own fire place, which makes for a perfect space for presentation. On my fireplace, I have a vase that I found on the street, a picture frame that I got from Sara (Turnpike Lane roomie) as a Christmas gift with a beautiful vintage envelope as the photo, and a champaign glass that somehow found it's way into my handbag on New Year's Eve. I also decided to fill my fireplace with vodka and ballet shoes. Like a true Russian ballerina.

Then we've got a lace collar that I managed to get for only 50p at this crazy antique market, along with some beautiful, slightly rusted bronze buttons.

My room has so much potential, I can not wait to get back and start working on it again!

Thanks for tuning in!
