Spamalot Snapshots

WARNING: If you do not wish to see silly pictures of me being a crazy person, this post is not for you!
Here are some pictures of my amazing experience from the Citadel Theatre's production of Spamalot. Most of these shots are just me being a goofball and showing you just a taste of the amazing costuming, wigs and props by the incredibly talented, Cory Sincennes. Cory is one of the youngest major costume and set designers in Canada. I am so fortunate to have been apart of two shows (so far) that he has designed. I hope you enjoy my 'show selfies'
This is a picture of my beautiful ensemble ladies. I shared a dressing room with these gals every show, these ladies were such a dream! So talented, beautiful and hard working! I was in such fantastic company. I miss everyone in the cast, crew, and creative team so much.
I hope you enjoyed my short little look into Spamalot. I can not express how much I enjoyed myself and also how much I learnt from this amazing experience. I am so very thankful for the opportunity to be part of such a fun and brilliant show.

Thank for tuning in!

Love,
CP

Top Bloggers

Hi, everybody!
Just wanted to say a big thank you for all the blog love I've been getting lately, it puts a big smile on my face! I want to share the love and do a series on some of my favourite blogs! So here is post number one!

TOP ALL ROUND BLOG

A Beautiful Mess 2

These two sisters, Elsie and Emma, have got it going on. Their blog has everything: crafts, photography, recipes, decor, fashion and beauty! They are my top overall blog. I think one of the most impressive things about their blog, is the crafts section. I may be bias, as I am a huge fan of crafting, sewing, and crochet, but these ladies are so inspiring. They are fearless with their crafts and they keep everything very hip/young! A Beautiful Mess also has some of the best giveaways/contests I have every seen on a blog/just in life!

Here are some of my favourite craft projects!

I can not praise them enough, these gals are seriously inspiring and none of their projects or outfits exist without a very personal touch!

Please check them out at

Thanks for tuning in!
Love,
CP

Spiral Dive: The Trilogy

Today I watched almost 6 hours of theatre - The Complete Spiral Dive Trilogy.

I have always been highly attracted to these plays and tonight after seeing all three shows in just 1 day, I wanted to know why.
  • culture
  • history
  • force
  • violence
  • love
  • fear
  • physicality
  • humour
These are the words that entered my thoughts.

Then whilst talking to a pal - I think I figured it out.

It is because you are witnessing a creative representation of such a horrific time in the world, through a Canadian prospective.
Live.
That doesn't happen very often.

Now that I have made this discovery, it also leaves me with a question - What is Canadian culture?

Sushi and Shakespeare.

I am turning into a late night gal. As in I can't sleep.

After a very fun, and relaxing day - full of conversation, sushi and Shakespeare - I had the idea to turn the Shakespeare monologue that I am working into a short film.

I started by making a quick storyboard, then I attempted a rough draft using my laptop. It's very poor quality (doesn't help that it's almost 2am, so I was trying to be as quiet as possible, and that I am in my pj's with no make up on), but I managed to captured my idea.

It's time to ask the big guns for help... Mr. B, you up to it?

Boom!

This evening, after a long day of shopping with M, I was debating whether or not to go to Boom: A Mile Zero Dance Salon, and I am SO glad I went.

I didn't really know what to expect and I liked that. I ended up knowing many people, both watching and performing in the show (always a nice feeling). I had many a fun conversation, watched/was involved in some interesting performances and learnt about taking care of our environment at the same time.

Overall, it was very entertaining and educational evening!

Video Auditions for the Stage.

Video auditions are a tricky thing.

You need to show your stage presence, theatre skills and charming personalty, but through the MEDIUM of film. It's an important/interesting part of auditioning, but how affective can a video audition really be?

I guess, like any audition, it is depends on who's directing/casting the show. If they see something special in you, then hey, maybe you will get that call back...
