So Long Rainy Days

After my last dance class at Harbour. I took tap with Jim Hibbard,  he's amazing.

That's right ladies and gents, I am back in the frozen north. My last week in Vancouver was amazing. I took three ballet classes, two tap classes, one contemporary class, one jazz technique class and a pilates class. It was a busy week, but that's just the way I like it. Now I'm back with only seven days before rehearsal for Chicago and I am very excited. I feel so inspired from my trip to BC making myself do a dance work out today was a piece of cake. I danced for two hours just in my apartment; thirty minutes tap, one hour of jazz technique and then another thirty mins of tap. It was great, my legs were shaking by the end! Today I also managed to do a side riffle, which I learnt on Saturday from Jim Hibbard. He told us that it was the last step that Sammy Davis Jr. danced before he died. Pretty cool, huh? Here are some picture from my last week!

The most stunning view.
The Gang being goofy.

I am so excited in this photo. I have a huge thing for crepes and I only had 1 the whole month I was there. That's a big deal in my world.

Thanks for reading and have a fabulous week!

Let's Talk about 'Girls'

Ok, I literally just stumbled upon this brand new TV show called Girls. Simple right? Not so! Ok, get this ; 25 year old Lena Dunham is the writer, director and star of this new TV Comedy Girls. Impressive, am I right?! Not going to lie, I am pretty darn excited to watch the pilot episode ( which is set to air on April 15 on the HBO Channel ), but I will stop gushing and let you watch the trailer now.

What do you think?

P.S Did you spot Broadway's favourite Mormon ?!

Hello friends!

I have realized that I haven't been doing a lot of talking lately. This is mostly because I have a new camera. It's so fun to simply post pictures that do a pretty good job of explaining themselves. Here's a little blurb about what I have been up to lately.

A view of Granville Street

For the past month I have been in BC catching up with my family and friends and dancing my little buns off. With only 16 days before the first rehearsal for Chicago, I am definitely feeling the pressure to be in tip top shape. It makes me very thankful that I am in a city where there are so many dance classes available. I have had so much fun being back at Richmond Academy of Dance and Harbour Dance Centre and have taken some really inspiring classes in many different styles including ballet, hip hop and tap! It has been a struggle to keep up my clean eating when surrounded by some of the best sushi in Canada and a family of amazing cooks and bakers. I have been doing pretty good considering. I have also started getting back into doing part of the Tracey Anderson Method work out - best arm work out ever!
Cherry Blossoms already blooming.

That pretty much sums it up! Thank you so much for reading - I hope you have had a lovely weekend!
